About Us
The first version of CATAN was first released in 1990 as was written in FORTRAN for DOS computers. With the advent of Windows, CATAN was rewritten in Visual Basic (due to problems with FORTRAN for windows) and now rewritten in a combination of VB .NET and C#.
FERAL was first released at the same time as CATAN under the name of PCAT and ran on Psion hand held computers using a language called OPL. The name changed to FERAL when it was rewritten for Windows CE and Pocket PC using .NET languages.
